Finding Hope Amidst Lies: Cannas Can Comeback, So Can You

My canna lily is making its annual comeback after the cold winter temps. I say, cold, but I'm in Charleston, so cold here is around 30 degrees.

It reminds me of the Scripture verse, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17). I'm in a season of shedding some old lies about myself and learning to replace them with what the Lord says about me. Like the old, withered leaves of this plant, the old worn out lies in my mind must die so truth can begin to blossom.

I am so thankful for new life and new beginnings, aren't you? If you feel like you're barely blooming today, I pray you take courage from this canna. Have you gone through a season of shedding self-doubt for confidence in Christ?
