"The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning." Lamentations 3:22-23☀️

I'm so grateful for this promise in the Bible. Because of grace, yesterday's mistakes are gone and today is a new beginning. I tend to be overly hard on myself. Can you relate? I find it significantly easier to forgive others than myself. Over the course of life, I have created and held myself to a ridiculous standard of perfection that shackled me from experiencing joy and from stepping forward, in faith, into the calling God has for me. That type of thinking is contrary to Scripture. God loves us with all our flaws, fears, and failures. He knows exactly who we are and what we struggle with, and He still sent Jesus so we could be forgiven and experience unconditional love that covers our sins. We don't have to be perfect because the Perfect One stood in our place.

If you're struggling with self-condemnation, or beating yourself up, I get it. But God has so much more. This week, let's choose together to embrace the truth that love covers all of our imperfections and failures, and move from perfectionism to peace. 💖
